You may have caught on that I have a fondness for Pittsburgh print shop Commonwealth Press. (If not, see t-shirts 52, 60, 61, 64, 80, 125, 127, 155, 162, 211, 216, 245, 265, 268, 279, 290, 302, 317, 350, 364,365, 366, 367, 370, 371, 374, 380, 382, 395, 403, 412, 415, 430, 432, 433, 434, 435, 437, 438, 447, 449, 457, and 458.) Part of that is proximity - back in the day they used to have a storefront one block over from my office, and then they opened one one block from my home - but most of it is because they make fun, funny shirts and do quality work. When I needed someone to print my 3-D, glow-in-the-dark wedding invitations they were the company I went with.
A while ago they lost their lease on their South Side warehouse and were forced to relocate to a new location on Warrington Avenue, which turned out to be quite expensive. So to help fund the move they lauched what they called a "shirtstarter" - basically, buy this customizable t-shirt to help keep us afloat. Of course I had to buy one to help out. Mine just arrived in the mail this weekend.
Here's looking forward to the grand opening of the new warehouse, which should be happening soon!
